iRay Technology is a Chinese imaging manufacturer that builds flat panel detectors for general radiography, mammography, C-arm and veterinary use. Dentem Health is the official iRay distributor in Turkey: panels come directly from the manufacturer, and warranty and technical service run from our own service centre in Maltepe, Istanbul.

What to weigh when choosing an iRay panel

Mars series: general radiography

Mars 1717V and Mars 1417V are 17x17 and 14x17 inch wireless panels, the two sizes most used for chest, bone and general radiography. Mars 1717X and 1417X are the tethered equivalents: inside a fixed bucky they remove both battery management and drop risk.

Venu and Luna series

Venu 1748V is built at long-cassette length for scoliosis and full-spine studies. Luna 1417X and 1717X are the cost-led choice when retrofitting an existing analog or CR system: the generator and table stay, only the imaging chain changes.

Mammo series

Mammo 1012C and 1012F are mammography panels at 75 micron pixel pitch. Converting an analog mammography unit to digital costs markedly less than replacing it, but the conversion is a project in its own right and needs a site survey first.

Scintillator and DQE

iRay panels ship with either caesium iodide (CsI) or gadolinium oxysulfide (GOS). CsI yields more detail at the same dose, or the same image at a lower dose, which matters in paediatrics and in high patient throughput. GOS is sufficient for routine adult radiography and costs less.

Integration and service

How the panel works with your existing generator, table and PACS matters as much as the panel itself. DICOM output, AED (automatic exposure detection) support and the trigger method are settled before installation. Dentem Health handles installation, acceptance testing and periodic maintenance, with loaner panels and breakdown response through our 24/7 service line.
